Jacob and Friends

Today was our first day with baby Jacob. And aside from thinking I was totally crazy to decide to do watch him this morning (the baby gets here at 6:30am) the day has turned out quite well. (I am quite tired and can't wait till Peter gets home so I can take my much deserved nap).

I have had to protect the baby to a certain extent, but overall, I think he'll leave in one piece. Kayla is such a "mommy". She has tried to feed the baby with her doll's bottle, shoved her cup in the baby's mouth, tried to pick him up a few times, and given him many hugs and kisses. Matt is kinda the opposite. This morning when /I said the baby had to go to sleep- Matt ran over to the door like the baby was going to sleep at his own house. He also tried to push the baby off my lap, and when the baby fussed, Matt said "no, no!". He's clearly not a fan of sharing mom. I also have to keep pulling them out of the baby toys (swing, bouncy chair, and exasaucer). I'm sure we'll all adapt to the new little guy that will be here 3 days a week-- seems like we'll be having a good time together.

Well the kids are all starting to wake up-- so I gotta go.
