No Nap Monsters

Every once in awhile my kids decide that they're not quite ready to nap, when I'm more than ready for them to. Its been a real struggle lately being sick and having the twins- its hard to muster up enthusiasm to do anything when you're so tired you could fall over, and your head feels like a construction crew has moved inside. Today they woke up early so I tried to put them down at 10:30 (I was more than ready for a nap myself). They ended up playing in their cribs- talking, singing, and jumping- until about 11:30 when I rescued them and fed them more food and let them play a bit longer. I tried about two more times to get them to bed (in which both of the times ended with me pulling Kayla off the top of the crib bar to prevent certain falling to the ground). Finally, God answered my prayers and Mark called saying he wanted to come over. I pulled the kids out of the cribs again, fed them and we waited for MMMMMMak (as they call him). Mark, Jillian and my mom showed up (they like to bring backup), and they played while I laid on the couch. After they left the kids went to bed, and praise God- stayed there. Mom got a great nap- some of my headache went away and now we're gonna get ready for the zoo.

To visit, not to live there ;)
