Time Flies When You're Having FUN!

Well, it's been forever since I've posted-- sorry about that. In that time, we had our adoption party and finalized the adoption. It's an amazing feeling-- knowing that finally the world recognizes what my heart has known for so long-- that they're mine! (well, and Peter's).

The little guys have been doing great-- they're talking more every day, and always doing something new (this week we learned how to move the kitchen tables to access any counter in the room ). Having Jacob has been working out wonderfully. He's such an awesome little guy, and my kids have really adjusted well to having him here. They even look for him on days that he's home with his mommmy. He's actually getting old enough to play (about 6 months old now) and he seems to enjoy the kids as much as they enjoy him. Its so cute to watch them all laughing together.

Tonight we went Trick-or-Treating as a family at Grandma's house. It was nice to see grandma who's recovering from surgery, and fun to trick-or-treat in their neighborhood. At the end Kayla and Matt learned how to say "trick-teet" although they would say it on the way up to the house and not once we were there.

Well, I'm off... the way time is going, I'm gonna be old before I know it :) But it's SO worth it!

October Summer Days

Today we went to the park with Anna and Keely (and baby to come) and Charity and Caleb (and baby to come)[I was very careful not to eat or drink whatever Anna and charity have, to avoid having a baby soon in our family].

Matt and Caleb had a grand time chasing squirrels all around the park. Its funny how much fun they were having, although they never even came close to actually catching one. Kayla and Keely were somewhat more girly, playing on the equipment the "right" way, and sitting and "talking". Very cute when Keely cried when her Kayla was leaving.

Life around here has been somewhat crazy. We continue to bounce between unpacking and organizing, cleaning/maintaining the house, and planning the adoption party. I'm looking forward to things slowing down a bit after most of the unpacking is done, and the adoption party is over.

Speaking of the adoption, we should receive a court date any day now. I'm hoping that it is soon-- I can't wait to hold their new birth certificates in my hands-- and have proof of what I've known from the first day they came home-- that they'll always be my babies.

Well, I've gotta get cleaning. We're going to build-a-bear with grandma Sue, grandpa Jeff, and aunt Jillian. Apparently that's part of their adoption presents-- which means I have a lot to get done before then.

:)
