Crazy Busy Fast Life
Time goes by SO fast, that it is unbelievable!
News in order of occurrence...
Charity and Ty (and Caleb) welcomed Nolan Thomas last Saturday (three weeks early)-- we haven't met the little guy yet, but hear that he's quite a cutie.
One of our favorite (tied w/ 3 others for the fav. position) brothers got engaged this past Friday in Chicago. We're super geeked, because he's marrying Laura who is a quite excellent choice in a wife. Good one Dave ;) Looks like the weddings going to be occurring June 24th, and we can't wait!
Today my mom's having somewhat major surgery... please keep her in your prayers (also pray for a speedy recovery).
Cute things that the kids are doing lately...
Honestly, most of what they do is cute--
- The first thing Matt did this morning was ask "where's dab" (dad) when I told him that he was at work, he said "oh", but still remembered to look in our bed, just to make sure I wasn't mistaken.
- Kayla loves to page the phone... when I tell her to stop it for the millionth time she says "I made it peep, peeped"... (so cute I almost want her to do it again, so I can hear her say "peep, peeped" instead of beep beep).
- Kayla also now frequently asks me for a "five-ed" then says "k, now deert" she also refers to herself as a "princy" from time to time (princess)
- Kayla and Matt are amazed that Jacob says "words". Jacob says uh-oh, and also seems to say a few other words, and the kids are AMAZED! They squeal, repeat the same word he just said (often uh-oh) and generally express true joy at the little guys recent accomplishment- speech. (Kayla is also hilarious with Jacob, always patting his head, bringing him toys and saying "aw... Cupcup" (she's working on the 'J' part).
- Matt loves to jam with his guitar, and I'm still trying to figure out where he learned all of his moves! He's also trying to teach himself how to dribble a basketball, and distance shooting. Every time we're downstairs he works on his b-ball skills.
Well, I'd best be done with this post. I've already intercepted about 6 attempts trying to turn off/restart the computer-- and the dancing that they were so cutely doing at the beginning of this post has now turned into getting into as much of mom and dads stuff as possible.
