INCREDIBLE FAMILY weekend

The Webber family has had quite a few "first time" events in the past few weeks. A little over a week ago we took the kids to see Sesame Street Live-- Elmo's coloring book. A HUGE hit for the kids, and mom and dad had a pretty good time too (who wouldn't seeing the pure joy on the kids faces). Matt and Kayla keep talking about the dancing, and that Elmo went "nigh, night" at the end. I'm sure we'll be talking about this for a long time!

Yesterday, I was able to get free tickets for the Disney on Ice- The Incredible in the morning. Peter zipped off to pick up the tickets while I finished getting everything ready and off we went. The kids had a great time (although they kept looking for Elmo) and if you ask them about it they'll tell you it was loud (it's so funny how they concentrate on certain aspects of shows).

Since the kids had slept on the way there, they didn’t want naps when we got home-- so dad and them played while I went to teach piano lessons. By the time I got home at 5:20, the kids were ready for a nap-- so instead of struggling through the night trying to keep them awake we just threw them into the car and went to Frankenmuth for dinner (we had a free dinner coupon for my birthday). Anyway, we had a great time and it was really great for Peter and me to be able to chat the whole way there and home while the kids slept.

Today we went to church in the morning, and enjoyed a great service. Matt and Kayla also had a good time, learning to Follow God during their class. After church we quickly changed and headed off for the zoo-- they were having a special "winterfest celebration". Finally, after dinner 'Uncle' Dan called and asked if Grandma Sue, Aunt Jilly and he could come over. The kids had a great time playing with them -- and now they're tucked into bed.

What a great weekend!

We also have plans to go to lunch tomorrow with Grandma Sue and Grandma Lorraine (also get to play in the play place at Oakland Mall). We'll be having a playgroup with Keely and Caleb on Tuesday-- should be a fun filled week!
