Help, I've fallen and I can't get up...

Well, those were words spoken by me on Sunday, after I fell in the backyard- with my husband in the front (mowing the grass) and the kids riding their bikes. I was trying to carry some chairs into the garage and tripped or something (not entirely sure as the whole thing happened so fast and I was 100% concentrated on not landing on my stomach/baby). Anyway, after a couple hours at home attempting to evaluate the severity of my ankle injury-- I could barely walk and was in immense pain- we decided to take a trip to Providence ER. Thankfully my ankle was not broken; however, I did tear a ligament which will take about 4-6 weeks to heal (which is really not that much better than a broken bone- but at least I didn't need a cast). I get to wear a lovely air cast that only fits inside my old tennis shoes. I would have given almost anything for a stronger drug than regular strength tylenol-- but oh well. The baby was fine-- not that they checked her heart rate or anything at the hospital (something my midwife's pretty peeved about) -- but she's been moving and everything seemed fine at my appointment on Tuesday. The baby's due to come in less than 7 weeks, so I won't be able to be staying off my foot much, cause I have WAY too much that I want to get done before she arrives. I'm actually getting around much better now, and I'm hoping this will just be a slight nuisance until it's completely healed.

Matt and Kayla are doing awesome. They are very happy that Christmas has come to "me house" in the form of a Christmas tree with lights. We spent last night doing crafts- pictures with puffy stickers and snowman ornaments for the tree. Funny enough, I think their snowmen turned out better than mine and peter's... maybe I'll switch the names on the back ;) Matt's now regularly counting things (although he often forgets the number 6) - and is always obsessed with "what time it is?". Kayla's been loving playing with her baby (especially now that we have all this 'real baby' stuff aroundn the house) and the other day while in bed for a nap decided to give her room, bed, baby, Elmo’s and self a baby powder shower. I'm still trying to clean up after that-- I would have taken a picture- but I was worried she'd think she did something good. My mom ended up washing the baby powder sheets for me while she was here helping out (due to the injury) and practically was killed by the huge amounts of baby powder dust in the air when she went to put them in the wash.

Ah, backtracking a bit- we had a GREAT thanksgiving. We watched the parade in the morning and enjoyed an awesome dinner and great company at my aunts in the afternoon/evening. Following that Dan and Jillian spent the night to watch the kids for the black Friday shopping morning-- so we played games for a few hours before bed.

Now we're forging ahead towards Christmas. I have all but 2 gifts bought... and all but 4-6 wrapped (I think). Christmas cards have been sent out, and decorations are up... and yes, I was almost this crazy before I was pregnant :)

That's about all for now. Sorry for the randomness :)
