Recovery

Well, I can safely say that we have now recovered from the shower last weekend. I had a great time, and we pretty much got everything we needed. On Sunday Peter and I went Babies 'R Us for the rest of the essentials (we were able to get everything on that list with returns that we had to make due to a couple of doubles). Now pretty much everything has been put together and is "in place" (or in a waiting place) for the baby. It feels more real now that there's baby stuff all around the house.

I'm having a hard time believing that Thanksgiving is next week, and Christmas will quickly follow. I have completed my wrapping (minus one gift for matt) for the kids birthday, Christmas (from Santa and us) and it's all in bags ready to go- I really like to be ready early- and with the baby being born between Christmas and the kids birthday I wanted that out of the way as well. We're planning on putting up our tree after shopping on Friday for the last few gifts on our list. This weekend will be spent cleaning up the house-- finishing the outdoor chores for the winter, and hanging out as a family (we haven't had a lot of family time this week due to numerous evening errands needing to be completed).

Anyway, that's the update.

Check out this pic of the most "original" baby gift given to us at the shower-- it was a doll made of cloth diapers, outfitted in clothes we registered laying in a box on a boppy pillow :) The face is taken from a picture of when I was a baby.
