Where does time go?

I think this could be a reoccurring title in my blog-- but honestly, I can't believe that October is coming towards an end.

We've had a few pretty important occasions around here...

Matt and Kayla's adoption has been finalized for more than a year-- more on that here .

I've hit the third trimester (7+ months) with this pregnancy [in less than three months matt and kayla will be BIG siblings :)]

God answered huge prayers about a need for a newer/working car.

Tonight we're heading to Zoo Boo with great grandma's (and papa's), cousins, aunts and a grandma Sue... I can't believe we're in the Halloween season-- honestly, where does time go-- I feel like my next post will be remembering Thanksgiving. Crazy!

I'll post pictures of the cuties in Halloween garb later.

2 steps forward, 1 step back

Each week I try to make goals for cleaning the house (keeping things mildly organized/clean etc). Some of the chores are regular and typical- I always try to change sheets on Mondays, clean the bathroom's Fridays etc and some are 'seasonal' or 'one-time' chores. Anyway, this week I feel like I haven't even been keeping up with the norm, so this morning I set out to start on the kitchen-- cleaning up the daily stuff so I could work on the bigger stuff. Anyway, during my cleaning the kids decided it was about time to put their toy box to use-- as a toy... they took out every single toy they had to make room for two of the cutest kids you've ever seen. Needless to say, not much has been accomplished around here- but we have had a pretty fun day so far :) Couldn't resist sharing these photos with you...

Tons of toys-- not...

Catching you up

Well, shortly after writing the last post Kayla developed an extremely high fever, with no other symptoms (104.9 and 105.5 were the tops)... my poor baby. Both times her temp spiked after her nap, the second time I went in and looked at her red, blotchy face and she said "mommy, I sick" (yeah, no kidding- I'd say 105.5 temp qualifies you as sick). Anyway, by Friday she was all better and able to go to the football game which was awesome. Saturday Aunt Jenn and Jon stopped by to play for a bit then we had some family time. Sunday was Brendan's baptism and party, and like that the weekend was over.

Yesterday Noah came over in the morning for a play date with his mom (we had cancelled two weeks in a row due to illness) and in the evening we hit jungle java with Keely and Brendan- an awesome place that there should be WAY more of (although it's quite expensive). Tonight we're looking forward to dinner with Raine (grandma Lorraine), a little shopping, and playing at Oakland mall. We're nothing, if not busy. The kids and I also have big plans of cleaning and organization this week too-- so far we're doing okay ;)
