2 weeks, 1 day
Well, Julie has been a full member [she only counted as half before, because she wasn't too much work ;)] of the Webber fam for 2 weeks and a day. She's a very good baby, quite content unless she's hungry. Matt and Kayla are extremely sweet with her, and loving being big siblings. They are pretty funny-- they were saying her name is Julie "grandma" Sue (because they know that she was named after my mom) so we corrected them telling them her middle name is Susanne. They're now saying her name is Julie Susanne Grandma Sue. I'm sure we'll get it sooner or later- but for now it’s very cute!
Most of my mom's family tradition is to name middle names after someone on the mom's side (due to the child automatically carrying on the dad's last name)-- we made an exception for Matt, thinking it's pretty cool to be named after your dad too, but have otherwise decided to do the same :)
Anyway, Kayla loves to hold Julie and is always telling her to open her eyes so she can see different toys that Kayla is holding two inches from her face. I'm so happy that Kayla has a sister to love-- I remember how much I wanted a sister for 11 1/2 years, and my joy in having one (although I always loved my brother's to pieces, they just weren't as good at playing dolls or shopping)-- I'm hopeful that all my kids will share the same closeness that I have had with my siblings :)
Anyway, I have more pictures to share, but want to wait until I decide which ones I'm using for the birth announcements. I'll be trying to update more frequently as life gets a little more organized-- which may not be until the kids move out-- but for now I figure the bits and pieces I can get up in five minutes are better than nothing :)
