Hooray for Kayla!

I believe we are now the proud parents to one potty trained child. Kayla has only had two daytime accident since last Thursday! She's even been dry for her last four naps. Thank you God- just when I was starting to feel like I'd have 3 kids in diapers for an eternity, it finally 'clicked'. (She has been using the bathroom since she was 18 months old-- talk about a tease). I'm looking forward to the money saved from not needing diapers/pull-ups (except one a night) for one less child.

Other news in the Webber fam...

- Janet visited this past weekend. Always fun to be had for all involved. The kids particularly like their treats from their friend Janet. I LOVED being able to spend almost all day Monday with her! So nice to be able to catch up.

- Got the tuxes fit for Mark's wedding. Can't believe my baby bro's getting married-- SO glad though that it's MacKenzie-- I love her tons and am SO happy for us all! Also now have Kayla's flower girl dress-- and Julie's ("I'm the niece that can't 'stand up' in the wedding cause I can't stand") dress. Love both of the dresses!

- Basement renovations have begun. Peter's got a decent amount of studding (I think that's what it's called) done... and has also moved some of the pipes-- or something. He claims it'll be about a two week process-- I'll keep you posted with the actual time frame ;) All I know is I don't have an ability to do the wash and it's building up FAST!

- For those interested, I had a great birthday today! My mom went shopping with us-- I had a ton to do at the mall. Then she took us out to lunch. Peter picked me up flowers (and a generous gift) along with Subway for dinner. That's my man :) We'll try to hit Red Robin as a family sometime in the next few days (when the basement doesn't require immediate attention). I also received many calls, cards, and nice gifts from family and friends-- thanks to all!

Busy couple of weeks coming up-- I'll try to keep you posted. Pictures to follow of the Easter Bunny and other current happenings as soon as I can find time to download them off the camera.

My Two Cents

Fun day-- still doing the flylady thing-- two days :) go me! We went to the community center with Anna, Charity, Kezzie and Kids (8 kids to be exact). Fun for the kids, lots of fun for the moms. I sometimes think the playdate's more for us to chat, vent and in general just enjoy adult conversation. We're gonna run some errands tonight- and then get to enjoy Janet's company after the kiddo's go to bed (and she's done with a family dinner). Oh yeah, and a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to uncle Danny! Love ya buddy.

Favorite Song of the moment: My Two Cents- by Shane Piasecki

I remember when you said
If it ain't broke don't fix it
If it ain't gone don't miss it
If you believe it's love then don't let them change your mind
Try to find a deeper reason
Time will change to another season
Oh, oh, oh and on and on the story goes

Let me be the first to announce...

No, we're not having another baby-- (although Kayla did ask for this today)...

PETER IS A COLLEGE GRADUATE!

3 cheers for Peter:
"hip, hip, hooray-- hip, hip, hooray-- hip, hip, hooray!"

I'm Super proud of him (and his GPA). He's worked really hard at completing his degree, all the while working Full-time, and being an awesome dad and hubby. We love you Peter, and are so happy that schools done for now. Let's Par-ty! How about some pork-chops and (h)applesauce tomorrow and we'll even have a tweet;)-- sorry inside joke.

Anyway-- Reason for post is to tell ya--Peter's awesome!

I'm doing Laundry!

They came, they work, they're awesome. My new front loaders are the law :)

Pictures Anyone?

Today we got pictures taken with our cousins (Keely and Brendan). Five kids 3 and under in one picture- and amazingly we were able to pick one out in which all kids were at least looking at the camera and not crying. It was pretty funny, almost as funny as the first time we took Matt, Kayla and Keely's picture (they were all about 15 months old and walking all over the table). Needless to say, we'll probably wait a few years before trying this again :) (Or at least until there's another cousin or two to add).

Not much else is going on here today-- I am eagerly awaiting my new washer and dryer though...

3 Cheers for new stuff!

Today Peter made one of my dreams come true by buying us new a front loading/high efficiency washer and dryer. He's pretty geeked about it too, cause that means he'll be more likely to have clean laundry-- J/K I'm actually pretty good about keeping up with clean clothes-- he's geeked cause he gets to build a new laundry room. He's planning on building these in under our stairs (using useless space) and finishing the room really nice-- I'm quite looking forward to the completed project as I spend a lot of time doing laundry-- like 15 + loads a week. Now if we could just get a machine that will fold clothes and put them away... oh wait, we do have one- me :)

They arrive Tuesday-- can't wait!

What a week.

Last weekend I was feeling pretty crappy, but I'm finally starting to feel better. Since I wasn't feeling great I didn't find time to update.

During the weekend we got together with the webber fam to see Beth and Patrick while they were in town from Tennessee. They got Julie a super cute outfit and blanket (I have a pic for you guys to see with Julie in the blanket).

Monday I felt like crap-- like, 'didn't even shower or change out of my jammie's' crap. It was a pretty long day but we got through it.

Not much else happened throughout the week-- the house looks like a bomb went off in it-- which seems to be the norm rather than exception lately.

Tonight we went to Anna and Dans and the kids had an absolute BALL playing together. I'm starting piano lessons again tomorrow with Alec and Ryan. Also have some shopping and going to start "spring cleaning" this weekend while the weather's not great- so we can enjoy the warmer days which are hopefully to come. That's about it for now.

Ah-- funny saying of the week--
Kayla: "mom, me need some medicine... me coughin' all the time!"

SO cute when she says this! Especially cute because she's often coughing because she put too much food in her mouth-- nothing to do with being sick.

~Lets go Kroger-ing~

Have you ever taken 3 kids, 3 and under grocery shopping? Need I say more ;) Probably not, but I will.

The trip started okay, as I was able to secure the cart with the add-on bench seat thing (which is impossible to push!), so I technically had a seat for everyone (Julie stayed in her car seat clipped onto the cart). However, to start with, Kayla wanted to walk, and actually was pretty good for about five minutes. Then I make her sit because she had decided to stop listening, and she proceeds to loudly cry for the next ten minutes-- meanwhile Matt unclips his seat belt and RUNS as fast as he can away from me. I catch Matt (amazing cause did I mention I'm pushing the cart that's impossible to push- thankfully he decided to not go too far and responded rather well to my evil eye as I approached him) give him a warning that he's not going to get his O-E-O's (oreos) after lunch if he doesn't start behaving. Kayla continues to cry/whine... "pleeease mommy, I walk" I eventually make a deal with her that if she stops whining/crying I'll let her walk-- she never did get to walk.

>>>Fast forward to us getting to the self-checkout (I have to do that cause the cart I have will not fit in the normal checkouts where they do the work)-- I find a couple items are extra in the cart-- courtesy of the kids "helping", and Kayla has taken a bite out of the banana peal (gross!). While I'm scanning items, they both stand on the seats talking to people passing by-- I'm sure they were thinking what a wonderful mom I am, to have such control over her kids (NOT). Anyway, we did all make it home, no one's head got cracked open by standing on the seats-- and somehow I didn't lose my mind-- so it's all good. By the way, no one ended up with Oreos after lunch although they were both so "SOWWY" (which I heard the entire way home and throughout lunch). Ah, life with twins. Thank God I decided to work the trip to be during one of Julie's naps, cause her crying would have certainly put me over the edge. Thankfully it'll be a few days before I have to brave Sams club-- at least they have the double carts there that are somewhat easier to push.

Weekend Review

Thursday Night: Anna called saying that they had two extra tickets to the Princess Wishes - Disney on Ice show. I took Kayla and Julie and we had an absolute ball! Kayla was mesmerized during much of the show, and had SO much fun dancing and singing with Keely- she also called out to her favorite princesses waving-- it was priceless. I'm so glad we had this opportunity :)

The girls before the show in their princess shirt and princess bib :)

Friday:

Capi and Grandma Sue came over. (Capi's the name my dad came up with- short for Captain-- long story). My dad hadn't seen the kids in almost two weeks due to a vacation then being sick-- so they were quite excited to play with him.

Saturday:

Not a whole lot was done on Saturday-- kids played, we cleaned a little, and mostly vegged out.

Sunday:

More of the same. We didn't go to church due to the marathon colds Matt and Kayla have had. In the afternoon we all took a nap (which was quite nice!). I tried on Matt and Kayla's new spring/summer clothes-- realizing that their just TOO skinny. I'm going to have to sew half of Kayla's clothes, and take back the other half (as I could fit two of her in them). Matt's were a little better, but not much. Not really sure what to do-- a few of the outfits I'm gonna try to get in 3T because thankfully length is not as much of an issue in shorts as it is in pants.

Monday (okay, now we're past the weekend review, but bear with me):

I'm continuing tackling the crazy laundry pile I have. Word is, I may be getting a new washer/dryer front loaders in the near future-- how exciting! I went on the treadmill during one of Julie's morning naps and now I'm going to shower (yes about 3 hours after my workout, but what can ya do- I had hungry kids to feed etc). I have some errands to run before and after Peter gets home from work, and that's about it. Oh yeah, and I wanna finish cleaning the kitchen.

Well, before I bore ya with the details, I'm off...
