I've been nominated for a Christmas spirit award...

Heidi nominated me for a Christmas Spirit Award. essentially, the rules for this blog award are: - You must be a true Christmas lover to accept this award.- The person to whom you give the award must also be in love with Christmas.- You must link back to the person who gave you the award.- You must list 5 things that you love about Christmas. If you can’t limit it to 5 things, then keep going until you run out of space!- Pass the award along to as many people as you like. That can be 1 or 45; it’s up to you. You must pass it on to at least one person in order to keep the Christmas cheer going.- Let your recipients know that you have tagged them by leaving them a comment on their blog.

I'll try to stay within the guidelines...

5 things I love about Christmas, oh let me count thy ways...

1) "lets start at the very beginning, it's a very good place to start-- when you sing you begin with do re mi ...." when it's Christmas, you begin with C.H.R.I.S.T. . And we love JC at our house!

2) I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Christmas music. Specifically two Christmas CD's are played at my house and in my car year long (just ask my husband-- he'll verify). I start listening to LOTS of Christmas music a few weeks before Thanksgiving, and I often cry about not listening to it enough come mid January.

3) Is anything cuter than kids in matching Christmas Jammies? Need I say more?

4) Christmas lights and decorations. I get that "lovin' feeling" every time I drive in darkened streets lit up with happy lights.

5) I love Christmas morning with my kids. I know they're spoiled (hopefully not rotten), but I love to see their eyes light up as they receive the present they've hoped for (and in some cases prayed for) over the past few months. I love to teach them it's not all about them, but since we received the greatest gift (JESUS) it's okay to celebrate and enjoy giving and receiving gifts. Honestly, the biggest gift to me on Christmas is watching my three little blessings!

To sum up:
1. Jesus
2. Christmas Music
3. Christmas Jammies
4. Christmas Lights
5. Kids and Christmas

And I'm tagging

Kelli (not linking to her because I'm quite sure her blog is private), but who could top all the fun vintage Christmas thingy's she just won on ebay...

and Laura.

Awwww..thanks, Nicole. I do love this time of year.

My blog isn't set on private at the moment, I opened it back up so someone could see it, but I probably will set it back soon.
