Merry Christmas, 2008.

Merry Christmas from the Webber Family.

Since we didn’t send out a Christmas letter (never have, actually) I thought I’d do a blog update of our year here.

2008 has been pretty great for us (this is an obligatory statement right?-- but it’s true). Peter changed jobs in September, and has been really enjoying his new position and business. I am happy, thankful and blessed that his position continues to allow for me to be able to stay at home with the kids. A few days a week I watch Jacob (3) and Alayna (1) and we have quite the little kid party. You should see us get ready to take the twins to school, it’s quite the sight.

Speaking of school, Matt and Kayla are going to 4 year old preschool four days a week. They both LOVE school and are so enjoying their friends and all of the new things that they are learning. I get good entertainment out of the stories they bring home from school and love hearing them from both perspectives.

In September Matt and Kayla also started taking gymnastics and are both quite natural in the sport. Matthew may choose to play a different sport this spring (he REALLY wants to play football and basketball, but will settle for soccer and T-ball until he’s a “yi-ttle” older). Kayla has informed me that she wants to “play” gymnastics forever-- So, we’ll see how she feels in the spring ;) The twins will be turning 5 at the end of January (seriously, how did time pass this quickly?). I can’t really be old enough to have two 5-year-olds, can I?

Julie is still our peanut. She’ll be 2 right after Christmas—again, how can she be two? She seems to know she’s almost two, and has recently added “fit” throwing to her growing list of “big girl” skills. She also recently redecorated our table top with blue and red sharpie (in case you were wondering, pink eraser removes sharpie from wood surfaces). Too bad it wasn’t green and red, it could have gone well with the season. She does love coloring (in and on anything), as well as reading books, playing with play-doh, ELMO, and almost anything else her big brother or sister are doing (climbing, attempting hand stands, changing DVD’s etc). She’s talking and singing up a storm, and seems to grow before our eyes.

Anyway, we’re doing good. We’re sure that 2009 will be crazy, busy, fun and fast too… We hope all is well with you!

Merry Christmas!

Luke 1:30-33 (New International Version)
30But the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God. 31You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus. 32He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, 33and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end.
