The day Matt and Kayla changed my world.
January 11th will go down as possibly THE best day of my life. Matt and Kayla are amazing, and I feel honored to be their mother. Words cannot express my love for them, so on here, I won't even try...
Here's a montage of our first year as a family...
Every good and perfect gift is from above.

** our carseat usage during this year was NOT correct (puffy coats, loose/twisted straps, belly clip instead of chest clip)... now that we know better, we do better.

The zoo? In January?
Anna (Keely and Brendan) called this morning with big plans to enjoy the 60ish degree weather... the zoo. Although I was somewhat hesitant (it did look close to rain all morning) I decided to pack up the kids and meet them (and Kezzie and Liam) at the zoo.
We had a great time. A few puddles were jumped in (the realistic part of me realized that I too would like to puddle jump), Julie spilled an entire cup of water all over her, and Kayla got bird yuck on her pants (causing her to ride home w/ no pants)... other than that though, it was lots of fun.
If tomorrow's warm, I do believe we'll bust out the bikes for some block walking/riding.

Pictures, anyone?
When I became a parent, I tried to look at all of the things I appreciated about the way my parents raised me and tried to be intentional about continuing the same things with my own kids. Some of these traditions or practices included the way my dad (and mom) documented our growing up with video's and pictures. We're not great (yet!) with the video... but I've done okay with the pictures so far.
This habit of printing and storing pictures in photo albums is almost a lost art with the day of digital cameras, but I so enjoy flipping through pages of an album. I just ordered our pictures for the past few months (something I'd put off because we had run out of album space) and will eagerly place them in order into the albums as soon as they arrive. I always loved (and still enjoy) being able to pick up a dated album and see the Kaminski family at that stage in time. It was awesome for holidays, birthdays, vacations and every day plain ol' life. I hope my kids appreciate what we're doing by carefully keeping (mostly) dated photo albums, but I know in 30 years, I'll certainly appreciate them as well!

And a Happy New Year!
We're doing well in the Webber fam. The kids really enjoyed Christmas, and we're trying to settle back into the routine of things. School with Mrs. Eva started yesterday, we've had visits from Uncle Mark, Aunt MacKenzie and Aunt Jenn came over for a photo playdate today (thanks again Jenn!). Life's good!
Some Christmas morning pictures...
